Before a pilot

A good clip starts with a usable recording.

Use this checklist to get one session ready to talk through with us. You don’t need to upload anything to this website.

  1. Recording and audio

Find the original session file and any separate microphone recording. Check that the speaker can be heard clearly and the file plays from start to finish.

  2. Names and context

Gather the session title, the agenda, correct speaker names and titles, and any slides needed to understand the talk.

  3. Rights and review

Confirm who can authorize use of the footage, which speakers agreed to public clips, and who reviews clips before anything goes out. Flag any restricted or off-the-record material.

  4. Brand assets

Collect the event logo, preferred colors and any caption or credit requirements. The speaker’s words come first; branding stays secondary.

  5. Scope and timing

Decide how many clips, which formats, how many review rounds and when you need them. We agree these with you before a pilot starts.

Don’t send confidential recordings through public links. We agree how recordings are transferred, who can access them and when they’re deleted before any footage changes hands.
