No analytics, advertising or tracking. No cookies of our own. Nothing loads from other companies’ servers.

Who we are
Outroom is an early-stage company started by Kellen Auth and Logan Bogesvang. Questions about this notice: email us (addresses appear when JavaScript is on).
When you visit
The site is hosted by DigitalOcean and delivered through Cloudflare. To serve pages and protect the site from abuse, they process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and when. They may keep it in server logs under their own privacy policies (DigitalOcean, Cloudflare). We don’t use it to identify or profile visitors.
Cloudflare may set a security cookie, __cf_bm, that helps tell people from automated bots. It expires after 30 minutes and isn’t used for advertising. Cloudflare explains it here.
Fonts, scripts and images all come from this site. Pages make no requests to analytics, advertising, social media or font services.
The event brief
The form on our home page doesn’t send anything by itself. When you click Email us your brief, your own email app opens a message to us with your answers filled in, including the name and email you give us so we can reply. Nothing is sent unless you press Send there. Your email reaches our University of Utah inboxes, which the university handles under its own privacy policies.
Recordings and speaker clips
When we work with an event, the organizer shares session recordings with us. Our ground rules:
- We only make clips for speakers the organizer marks as having agreed to public clips, from recordings the organizer has the rights to share.
- We identify speakers from the event agenda, never with face recognition.
- A person checks every clip, and nothing is sent to a speaker without the organizer’s approval.
- Speakers can ask for a correction, or for a moment to be dropped, before posting.
- Before any recordings change hands, we agree with the organizer how they’re transferred, who can access them, how long they’re kept and when they’re deleted.
Please don’t send recordings or confidential information through this website.
If you get in touch
If you contact us, we use what you send only to reply and to discuss working together. We don’t sell personal information or share it for advertising, and we’ll delete it if you ask.
Changes
If this website starts collecting information, for example through a contact form, we’ll update this notice before that happens.
